Campbell University's  Pollinator Meadows &  River Park is a beautiful assemblage of rolling meadows, forested lowlands, upland pine stands and unique, riverside Cape Fear River trails.    

Please join us for a brisk hike or peaceful stroll in open meadows or mature  forests.  Marvel at the diversity of butterflies and birds flitting through wildflower meadows

adorned with thousands of native perennials; with special emphasis on larval-host flowers, shrubs and trees, and seasonal fruit and seeds for songbirds and bobwhite quail.

Our riverside trails offer stunning views of the Cape Fear River, quiet meditation sites and camping with friends.  


Affectionately called the 'Back Nine' by students and locals; Campbell's Pollinator Meadows & River Park, while once serving as a nine-hole golf course, also offers our Environmental Science & Biology students a diversity of ecosystems to explore and study.

Campbell's Pollinator Meadows & River Park is an extraordinary assemblage of meadows, trails, camping areas and beautiful riverside views of the mighty Cape Fear River.  Our River Park is part of Harnett County's Greenways Initiative and is open to the public.

Projects

Under the direction of Campbell's Cape Fear River Initiative, our undergraduate students in Environmental Science and Biology, along with students in our Conservation & Outdoor Recreation Club play a major role in documenting unique ecosystems and maintaining our park trails, roads and sensitive sites.
